ReserveDirect was founded by current President, John Johnson, through an alliance with Internet development company EU Concepts. Their mission was to launch and operate a reservation system that allowed regional tourism destinations the ability to compete on a national level with larger, mass-market destinations. The first of these systems debuted in October 2001 as ReserveBranson.com, serving the Branson, Missouri area.

In 2003, Greg Brown and Kevin Weidemann, the owners of EU Concepts, partnered with Johnson and expanded the existing system, allowing ReserveDirect to launch its destination-based reservation system into several new locations, including Orlando, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee (with new destinations on the horizon).

In addition, ReserveDirect has also developed new distribution channels beyond its branded destination sites, including additional functionality for travel agencies and affiliates, customized reservation solutions for travel suppliers, vacation packaging solutions, and interfacing with supplier ticketing systems for direct-to-gate e-ticketing solutions.

ReserveDirect is a privately held company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. It has offices in Branson, Missouri, Orlando, Florida, and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. ReserveDirect is owned and operated by Greg Brown (Director of Technology), John Johnson (President), and Kevin Weidemann (Creative Director).
