TOUR OPERATORS AND GROUP TRAVEL ORGANZIZERS CAN NOW BOOK
GROUP TRAVEL WITH NEW INTERNET TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY
A new website focused on the group tour market was launched
April 1st, 2005 by internet technology company, ReserveDirect.
The new site, ReserveGroups.com,
enables large family reunions, veteran reunions, church groups,
and any other large groups looking to save on travel to search
and build complete itineraries, including lodging, attractions,
restaurants and ticketed-events such as theater shows. These
products are displayed with real-time availability, allowing
tour companies to more efficiently plan and book their group
travel.
The company, ReserveGroups.com,
touts a service package to compliment their online capabilities.
Manager of Operations, Bonnie Johnson, says “Our Groups
Plus service separates us from the competition. We ensure
groups that we are here to service them through not only the
booking process, but the trip itself.” The service includes
amenities to assist the group travelers such as a customized
tour handbook, destination-specific personnel and on-call
support. These services are not typically found with internet
booking sites.
Continuing to make advances in reservation technology, ReserveDirect,
along with ReserveGroups.com,
has broken ground once again with the first website of its
kind that enables groups to build packages as well as price
and confirm multiple products in one booking process. The
few competitive websites that exist either require two to
three days to get a response or quote while only allowing
a group to book a single product at a time. ReserveGroups.com,
in contrast, helps eliminate that hassle with the ability
to price an entire group package collectively, making group
travel organizing much simpler.
Currently, ReserveGroups.com
facilitates two popular group-friendly destinations: Branson,
Missouri and Eureka
Springs, Arkansas. In addition, ReserveGroups.com
is expanding into other drive-to destinations later this year.
ReserveDirect launched its first reservation system, ReserveBranson.com,
in October 2001. The site was designed to enable a smaller
market destination to compete in the national travel marketplace
by offering “live” availability to multiple product
types within a single booking engine. Since then, the company
launched ReserveEurekaSprings.com
for neighboring Eureka
Springs, Arkansas, added many new features to its dynamic
reservation system and will announce additional destinations
in the Spring of 2005.
